I upgraded to GarageBand ’09 this weekend, and it’s a nice incremental improvement. The guitar modelling technology that’s the big new feature is quite neat, though I whilst I found a lot more “reallistic” valve amp sounds using it, i couldn’t quite generate a sound that mixed well into a song, at least, not as well as the setting’s I’ve been using these past few years in GarageBand ’07 and ’08.
So, a few of the sounds inspired some riffing, and whilst I ended up mixing everything using my normal production settings, this song was the result. Only difference is the mini-solo toward the end which used the Guitar modelling. Enjoy.
