I’ve now moved my own personal website (where I host music i make in my own time purely for fun) off Amazon Web Services (AWS) onto OTC (“Open Telekom Cloud”) – which is a new public cloud offering from my employers, T-Systems/Deutche Telekom. As this service only launched this week, I thought it a good way to familiarise myself with how it works, how it compared to AWS and see how easy migration of the basic LAMP stack (apache, php, wordpress, mysql) used to host my website could be.
Seems fairly easy – few bugs right now, mainly due to different versions of Linux and PHP, apologies if this disturbs in any way.
